You might be dropping the pounds fast. You might find the shortcuts appealing. You think everything is going well. You are probably just focussing on your weight only. However your weight loss plan is more than likely CHEATING you and seriously damaging your shape, body and health.
Low calorie diets, diet potions and pills, weight loss plans without exercise and meal replacement plans are all part of a range of weight loss options where you are WASTING your time and effort. They DO NOT burn any real fat. They DO NOT improve your SHAPE. You are fooling yourself into thinking they work. Get your FAT measured and see for yourself – most often you are losing very little REAL weight (fat!) These plans cause CRAVINGS. They cause LOW ENERGY. They slow down your metabolism and EVEN WORSE they can be the trigger or accelerate serious health conditions. This damage can occur in as little as 6 to 12 weeks!
Would you buy a car that will not run in 3 months time? Would you take some medication that will only work for 12 weeks? Then don’t lose weight with plans that burn very little fat, lose mostly just water (this explains the big fluctuations in weight that make you think you are doing well!), but that will leave you SAGGY and FLABBY, with no energy, more cellulite, weaken your immune system and possibly could trigger arthritis, osteoporosis, hormone imbalances and other health conditions. Sure you might see large changes on the scales over 2 or 3 weeks, but ask yourself what are you losing, because IT IS NOT FAT. It is mostly water and toxins. Losing water actually makes your body shape look worse! These plans also leave you short of vital nutrients for energy, health and general well-being. These plans drastically slow down your metabolism meaning you will regain all the weight you have lost PLUS a lot more on top and find it HARDER to shift the weight in the future. Just look at people all around you who are doing this. I’m sorry but 3 months from now you will probably be fatter, heavier and more depressed than ever.
Losing weight on the scales DOES NOT GUARANTEE a better SHAPE, unless you are genuinely losing FAT tissue. This is the yellow liquid under the skin that gives you that stubborn stomach or those stubborn hips and thighs or those flabby back of arms and all that cellulite Quick fix plans promise loads, but after 2 or 3 weeks, you will find it very hard to lose any more weight and you have nowhere left to turn.
The TRUTH is there are 3 keys to a genuine weight loss (real fat loss!) plan – diet, exercise and metabolism correction. All 3 keys interconnect – one will not work without the other! Your metabolism is the most powerful of all the 3 keys – it is the ‘switch’ that controls everything else. In most people this switch is off. Metabolism problems like slow thyroid, high blood sugar, sluggish liver, hormone imbalances and digestive problems like constipation, will limit or stop your weight loss, no matter how much dieting or exercise you do. Work on fixing your metabolism problems for amazing results. Combine this with a reasonable diet (under-eating is worse than over-eating) and a reasonable amount of exercise (too much exercise is as bad as no exercise) and you will get the best, the fastest and the easiest weight loss ever.
Diet wise never ever ever eat less than 10 calories per lb of the target weight you want to achieve within 6 weeks from now. So if you want to be 11 stones (154 lbs) in 6 weeks time that means never eat less than 1540 calories daily. If you want to be 12 stones (168 lbs) in 6 weeks time that means never eat less than 1680 calories daily. If you want to be 9 stones (126 lbs) in 6 weeks time never eat less than 1260 calories daily.
Exercise wise, if you are doing 5 x 1 hour sessions of aerobic work (walking, jogging or cycling etc) weekly at a brisk pace and 2 mini body toning sessions weekly that should be more than enough. If you are not losing about 2 lbs a week with this, then you need to re-look at your diet and how good it is and recheck your metabolism correction. More exercise is generally not the answer!
